Athletic Trainer - Part Time
Job Title: Part-Time Athletic Trainer (16 hours per week) - Onsite at Construction Site in Albany, NY
Job Overview:
Ramp Health, a leader in onsite wellness coaching, is seeking a Part-Time Athletic Trainer to join our team in Albany, NY. This role will focus on injury prevention and safety for employees at a construction site. As a certified Athletic Trainer (ATC), you'll work directly with employees to promote wellness, manage injuries, and provide proactive coaching. Your expertise will help improve workplace safety and employee health by addressing concerns related to injury prevention, emergency response, and overall wellbeing.
Position Summary:
Onsite emergency response and first aid for minor injuries
Provide injury prevention education and treatment to employees on an individual or group basis
Coaching focused on personal motivation, safety awareness, and lifestyle behaviors to improve injury prevention
Active participation in the site-wide Emergency Response Team
Conduct regular site safety walks and supply inspections (including AED, safety showers, spill kits, etc.)
Help employees set health and safety goals and offer ongoing support through our proprietary coaching process
Engage with employees to enhance their quality of life and safety at work
Requirements:
First Aid and CPR certification required
Demonstrated time management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks
Exceptional verbal skills with the ability to engage and represent Ramp Health positively
Outgoing, personable, and capable of working independently with strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Nice to Have:
CPR/AED Instructor Certification
1+ years of experience in coaching, fitness, promotions, or nutrition
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and EMR/SOAP data entry
Experience using Motivational Interviewing methodologies
Ability to take manual blood pressure
